Walking Tours
The Atlanta Preservation Society (tel: (404) 876 2041; fax: (404) 876 2618) offers guided walking tours through the historically and architecturally interesting older districts. The guides are volunteers and often speak knowledgeably about their own districts. Options include Ansley Park, Sweet Auburn/Martin Luther King District, Historic Downtown, Fox Theatre, Walking Miss Daisy's Druid Hills, Inman Park, Birth of Atlanta and Underground, West End / Hammonds House and Wren's Nest, Piedmont Park, Atlanta University Center and Historic Midtown.

Bus Tours

American Sightseeing Atlanta
(tel: (404) 233 9140 or (800) 572 3050; web site: www.americansightseeingatl.com) has several different half-day sightseeing tours by minibus of the city centre, as well as tours to Stone Mountain. Half-day tours cost US$25-36, including hotel pick-up
